Dear Friends,

I am writing this introductory letter to all who read the following article on my current insights on the seven trumpets of Revelation 8-11, and also the result of my study of Daniel 12. I do not claim these insights to be exhaustive, but an overview which will stimulate prayerful study and further discovery.

Since September 11, 2001, I have written a number of articles on the topic of the seven trumpets. Soon after the falling of the towers in New York City, God began to reveal to me the meaning of the trumpets for our time. I do not mean to imply that I am in disagreement with our historic view of the trumpets. But in harmony with Ellen White’s statements that “The Bible has accumulated and bound up its treasures for the last generation” (3 SM 339), and that we are to “Study Revelation in connection with Daniel, for history will be repeated” (TM 116), I felt that God had a message in the trumpets for those who will live to see Jesus come.

When I posed my question to God about these things, He impressed me, “You will know when it happens.” So when the towers came down, I went immediately to 9 T. chapter 1, and read Ellen White’s prophetic dream of that occurrence. From that time on, the Lord began to open the Scriptures to me which applied to the trumpets for the final generation. By early 2002, I wrote my first article on the subject, outlining the events that I believed would happen in accordance with the trumpet outline. I shared these insights with several well-known scholars and authors, but none saw light in the possibility of a present application of the trumpets.

Ten years have come and gone, and we are now in a time of unprecedented challenges for the world and its inhabitants. During these years I have watched the countdown of the trumpets, just as the Lord gave them to me in 2001. Many others see the countdown, but do not recognize them as trumpets. But it is important to understand the prophetic outline of the trumpets, because we are called to be watchmen on the walls of Zion, and the trumpets give us the time of the night and where we are in the stream of time and the closeness of Jesus’ coming!

Because the trumpet outline indicates that the time is drawing near for the Sunday-law movement, and because the Papacy is already pushing for more world power and leadership, especially in economic matters, and also for a common family rest day, I feel compelled to share more openly the trumpet outline as God gave them to me, to help alert God’s people to the nearness of the things that have been prophesied. We as a people have long been looking for the Sunday law to bring about the latter rain and the preaching of the loud cry. But many who put off their preparation until that time will find that they   have waited too long, and are among those who do not have the extra oil in their lamps.

So I hope you will consider carefully the time element of the trumpets, and where we are in that time line. The message of the trumpets is that we have no time to lose! The message of the trumpets is that we are most assuredly in the last generation, and that we will soon see Jesus coming in the clouds of heaven. Oh, may we not be found wanting in that day!

THOUGHTS ON BIBLE TRANSLATIONS

From time to time over the past twenty-five years, I have been appraised of the opinions of some who feel that the only legitimate version of the Bible is the KJV, and possibly the NKJV, since it is based mainly upon the original KJV. Since I have chosen the NIV as the Bible I use the most, I have had sincere souls express their concern that I will be led astray, and/or lead others astray by the use of this version. I have been given tomes to read on the subject; I have received counsel that ranges from worried concern to assertions that it is inspired by the Devil to destroy the Remnant church. As a result, I have taken it to the Lord and asked for guidance, and have personally studied out the differences which have come to my attention, either from others, or from my own discovery. MAKING AN END OF SIN

The list of accomplishments which were prophesied in Daniel 9:24 to be fulfilled by the coming of Jesus, the promised Messiah, is astounding. Through His life, ministry, death, resurrection, ascension and mediation, He would “finish transgression, put an end to sin, atone for wickedness, bring in everlasting righteousness, seal up vision and prophecy and anoint the most holy.” In other words, the first coming of Jesus to this earth would provide for the complete eradication of the damage done by Satan’s rebellion in heaven. What Satan began, Christ would finish. Through Jesus, the plan of salvation would bruise the serpent’s head and free all who would choose to allow God to remove the curse of sin in their lives.

Throughout Jesus’ life, He demonstrated what a life free from sin would look like in every human situation. He modeled for us a holiness and perfection of character that is foreign to fallen beings. But He did this not just to excite our admiration so that we would be drawn to Him, but also that we might have a way back to holiness and godliness in our own lives. His purpose was to restore the human race to the perfect righteousness and happiness that crowned Adam and Eve on the day of their creation. As Creator and re-Creator, Jesus has all power to “save His people from their sins” (Matt. 1:21). Because of this, Peter can exhort us to follow the example of our Savior and walk in His steps.                 The court scene is forever etched upon my memory, even though it happened back in 1988. My husband was being brought to trial for allegedly helping to plan a crime which ended in the murder of three people. There were rows of seats for observers, and in front of the courtroom was a long conference table for the defendant and the lawyers assigned to the case. The jury box and the judge’s bench were raised above the level of the audience, and faced the court. A uniformed officer and a legal secretary were also on duty at the front of the room. In my last two articles, I have tried to emphasize the necessity of a personal walk with God that will enable us to be prepared for the final events of this earth’s history. Ten lovely young ladies gathered that evening at the appointed meeting place for friends of the bride to wait for the wedding festivities.
